Another potential collaborator who has not yet been mentioned is Rob Atkinson. I believe he's barking up this tree with the UK Met office right about now. Interface questions: + what is the syntax to request a 2D slice of 4D data? + how will 4D extent be specified? + is there a spec for time strings coming from a WCS? + what is the behavior if a vertical slice is requested? I think it even makes sense to use a "quick/short-term" solution to flesh out the required interface while the long term solution is under development.
