I am not sure if making a release from the branch should necessitate a name change?
Stable Branch: - 2.2.x - 2.2.x --> 2.2.0 tag - 2.2.x - 2.2.x --> 2.2.1 It is not like we are making milestone releases from this thing .... I also expect trunk to work like this: - 2.3.x - 2.3.x- >2.3-M0 - 2.3.x - 2.3.x- >2.3-RC0 - 2.3.x - 2.3.x- >2.3.0 The alternative would be rather difficult to track: - 2.3-M0-SNAPSHOT - 2.3-M0-SNAPSHOT --> 2.3-M0 - 2.3-RC0-SNAPSHOT - 2.3-RC0-SNAPSHOT--> 2.3-RC0-SNAPSHOT - 2.3.0-SNAPSHOT - 2.3.0-SNAPSHOT --> 2.3.0 Cheers, Jody > -Justin > > Clint Lewis wrote: > >> Hi, >> >> We are running our application against version 2.2.x and there was a >> version change to 2.2.1-SNAPSHOT and this causes a problem since our >> application now will not get the latest code released. >> >> We expected the branch version to remain at 2.2.x but it was changed to >> 2.2.1-SNAPSHOT. >> >> In the short term I am going to change our application to 2.2.0, this is >> the new production of Geotools. >> >> > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
