Well that would be me, mostly because I was interest in SLD being a good
model for you both - since that did not work out, and fixing whatever
problems prevented this is not something we can do now that Cory and I
are not OGC memebers, we can try and simplify.

So Cory, when we refine the SLD interfaces we can leave events out of it ...

Yes .... Expression used to work on "Feature" and only Feature.

GeoAPI needed Style to work on Feature and work on Graphic -- so they
copied everything.  Since this time we have let Expression work on
Feature, Metadata, Graphic, ... or whatever.

So we can get by with just one Style interface now.

Neither; you need to talk to Cory about bringing the GeoAPI interfaces
inline with SLD1.1 and then proceed from there. It is something we
neglected without you around to drive matters along :-)

Well not neglected entirely, we did set things up so we can do this once
and not twice etc...
