Hi Cory: We don't delete any method, we only add more. That is: new method / old method getParameters / getArgs setParameters / setArgs evaluate() / getValue()
Now the old method are not deprecated in 2.3.x but they are deprecated in "trunk". Then I think that there is not any problem with 2.2.x because the old contract (2.2) is supported by 2.3.
