One of our 2007 Google SoC Students has quit, as you can see below. I
was going to help Jody mentor this guy over the summer, but it looks
like he must have gotten a full-time girlfriend or something. :]

Does anyone want to comment before I get a hold of Frank Wammerdam
with the OSGeo and Google?

i apologize for having been out of touch. unfortunately, for personal
reasons i will not be able to work on the project this summer. i think
this is a very cool idea, and i'm regretful that i do not have the
time to work on it now -- i wish you the best of luck with the other
SOC projects.
