Oh, this is DEFINITELY in the works. We are planning on doing work this spring to get JSR-275 back on track and graduated in the JSR process. (I won the right not to start writing the english on this until I was done with the geotools legal work since I didn't want two similarly painful projects at once.) Also, yes Martin is planning on moving geotools over to JScience units. Possibly right after he finishes his coverage work, his new renderer and brings peace to the world and hot chocolate to all....mmm, hot chocolate.
