MIGRATION COMPLETE (at this hour, the webdav repository is still copying, but will be done shortly)
See below for Howard's notes on the migration. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Howard Butler <hobu....@gmail.com> Date: Sat, Dec 13, 2008 at 8:37 PM Subject: Re: [Geotools-devel] Migration to OSGeo SVN and WebDAV To: Paul Ramsey <pram...@cleverelephant.ca> Geotools subversion has been migrated. Here is relevant info for you to administer things. svn is currently located at: http://svn.osgeo.org/geotools You will want to do 'svn --switch relocate http://svn.geotools.org/trunk http://svn.osgeo.org/geotools/trunk' to point your local copy to the new repository. This repository is mirrored at using svnsync http://svnmirror.osgeo.org/geotools/ If the osgeo machine were to completely implode you have an offsite backup that is only 15 minutes old. To commit to the repository, you will need an OSGeo id. You can find out how to create one here: http://www.osgeo.org/osgeo_userid After you have your id, you will have actually be added to the GeoTools group to be able to commit. Any committer can add any other committer to a group if they are a member of that group. So, for example, 'jive' (Jody) is a member of the GeoTools group currently, and he can add all of the committers that he needs. Or, he could add Adrian, and Adrian could add everybody. Individual projects can choose how they wish to regulate commit access, but this attribute of our of our group membership will probably not change (it's a feature not a bug!). The group can be modified here: https://www.osgeo.org/cgi-bin/auth/ldap_group.py?group=geotools When Adrian's adding people to the group, he may want to search for people's ids. He can do so at: http://www.osgeo.org/cgi-bin/ldap_web_search.py WebDAV is located at http://download.osgeo.org/webdav/geotools/ . You'll notice that it currently isn't SSL-enabled. Also, Paul mentioned a md5/sha processing script that needs to run that hasn't yet been added yet, but he plans to take care of it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SF.Net email is Sponsored by MIX09, March 18-20, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
