Hi,
I was making a conversation on IRC and it occurred to me that,
apparently, we don't have such great support for sparse coverages,
that is, a coverage whose single, general envelope covers a large
area, but whose data covers only a small subset of it.

The WCS DescribeCoverage seems to support that in terms of returning
multiple bounding boxes for a single coverage, and eventually also
multiple polygonal shapes.

We don't have anything similar in gt2 land, or am I mistaken?
What a spare coverage api would look like? Could it be a subclass
of GridCoverage2D that returns the extra spatial info?
(it could be interesting for mosaics, for example).

Cheers
Andrea
