Hi Team:

Just a heads up on the java-collab geometry stuff. I have sat through
a couple different ways of playing:
- do the osgeo labs thing (it looks like it will take a while - and is
a bit more formal then we want)
- work in the deegree svn - that would be fine; but everyone is away
on holiday and it would take a while
- work in a geotools spike directory

This is response to the goal of:
- having an svn to play in
- having osgeo copyright and package names
- actually getting down to work (more splat less chat)

I would like to extend this last option to java-collab (contributors
would sign the geotools contributors agreement which will actually be
a perfect fit. It mentions (c) OSGeo and the fact that the code would
be contributed to a GeoTools server - it does not say much about the
PMC (since the PMC only really steps up for supported work).

I would like to ask if this use of the spike directory would be okay?
This is a normal request on the level of an "unsupported" module - as
such I need a +1 from one PMC member to ahead.

As as a result of this I will go ahead and write a nice email to
java-collab offering the above "spike/geometry" space to work in. I
was going to leave the following options opetion to java-collab.
Figuring out if the header should have contact details for GeoTools
PMC and Deegree PSC; or if a subcomittee for "Geometry" should be
mentioned in the header.

Aside: I think I can continue to talk everyone through the annoying
process stuff; but if anyone has experience loading content into svn
(between repositories) I would *love* a volunteer.

Jody
