We have an option to try vecmath > 1.3.2 or try out the latest
Did a little investigation, Vecmath is used for all matrix computation in the referencing package, which is in turn used for all affine transform handling (in n dimensions). Changing to 1.3.2 is going to make us go in uncharted territory, we have to hope that either no bugs have been introduced in the 1.3.2 release, or that our test suite catches them. > - jts 1.10 - the tag in CVS is busted; we are going to try and talk to > martin about fixing it or making a jts 1.13 with a working tag (all > the versions after jts 1.8 are not tagged) > > We are a bit worried about: > - picocontainer 1.3 is pretty old... the latest is 2.8.3. Pico is used in the xsd parser/encoder. Going from 1.x to 2.x is a major change. I think it's not reasonable to go up to 2.x just because it's the latest and the greatest if the 1.x series works fine. Can you get the sources of 1.3? (since you told me that's the issue, you have to ensure the source of each binary library we use is available) > - eastwood as it is using a timestamped SNAPSHOT Oh, I see they finally made a release, v 1.1.0. I'll see if I can use that one. > - hunting down source for postgres jdbc driver etc.. That should be easier, I've recently upgraded the driver.
