Hey Justin:

I am also going to try for another uDig milestone this week so I am keen for a GeoTools release of some sort.

We are running pretty hard into jdbc-ng differences:
- GEOT-2325
- GEOT-2664

I am not sure about the feature model discussion with Ben; it seems like he got distracted by GML being complicated (not that I blame him) and I can no longer tell if he needs an API change or not.

Initial cut of StyleBuilder is on trunk now; I am writing more test cases this evening.

So in terms of release planning; we can sort something out on email; or I will check for you online.

Hmmm... ok. That is sort of a big bill though. And at the time of looking I saw no mention of another milestone in jira, makes release planning in GeoServer hard if we want to stick to actual GeoTools releases.

Given the scope of this work and that we want to release GS this week I am seeing a conflict.

I am waiting to hear back on:
- feature model discussion with Ben - do we need a new method to mark an attribute inline? If so we need to march up a couple geoapi versions and make the change. I was hoping to get this decision made before the weekend so I could set up some geoapi upgrade patches for andrea to review
- stylebuilder from me
- Some jdbc-ng issues are effecting us in udig; aggregate functions and the ability to determine the bounds quickly I am still trying to find a location for an extra day of code sprint to work on shared geometry; but that can be an extra day if we want to nail GEOT-1192 to the wall.

Hi all,

How do folks feel about releasing gt 2.6-RC1 next week? Looking in jira
there are no blockers. A few high priority issues:

* http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-2154
Change to new Filter API made the "old" use of FidFilter very inefficient

* http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-1192
Make sure GeoTools internals do not use old filters anymore

* http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-2505
GML bindings ignore all attributes

The latter two are a lot of work. I believe GEOT-1192 might be tackled
at the sprint at foss4g.

Anyways, anyone think RC1 next week is too soon?
