When running uDig against the latest geoserver 2.0.x wfs-t my log

I was using both WFS 1.0 and 1.1.0...
I also had an interesting response when simply editing a feature:

SEVERE: number of fids inserted do not match number of fids returned
by Transaction Response. Got:1 expected: 0
I would not expect any feature ids to be returned - since I was
editing an existing road.
