Since our queries do not do joins "views" over writable feature types
are normally writable anyways, it's just that we don't expose that
(and what about writing stuff that does not respect the filter view?
  silently skipped?)

As for partitioning that would hide the attribute making the partition,
hum, sounds like it needs its own class.
Don't like the idea of putting it in data though, unless we first turn
data itself into a hodge-podge of anything dealing with vector data
(e.g. , move most of the related stuff we have in main there)
