I'd just double check the copyright assignment thing, I don't think
anybody can commit
on geotools without having signed it but I may be wrong.
Like, I'm pretty sure any module we ship must have been coded by
someone that took
his own responsibilities and signed the agreement, not sure about community ones
that are left out of the build

Errr... setting up maven? Yeah, that is best be done before committing,
a module is not there in GeoTools unless one can bring it into the build
using -Dall on the maven command line
