Folks, following a suggestion of Andrea Aime, I have written some code to draw shapes out of WKT text (see http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-3058).
This feature lets a user specify simple shapes directly in SLD (or in a dedicated properties file) without the need to code its Markfactory subclass in Java. In addition to this, I would like to include a class containing shapes used in weather maps, this time drawn using Java code (not much in common with WKT shapes, but a wider selection of shapes may be useful). For the time being, I titled this module "renderer extension"... but I am open to suggestions. Of course, I am willing to become the maintainer of such module. What do you think ?
