Daniele I will need more than a couple hours warning for changes of this sort;
it does involve doing a fair amount of work to assemble jre bundles for use in
the uDig release process etc.
Q: Does it fail gracefully? ie will geotools continue to function and just
report those formats as "not available" at the plugin level?
