As far as I know there is no such a thing.
Besides, I'm not looking for "not applicable" but for "wildcard".

Even if I could use the urn notation (which I cannot right now, see the
previous thread) none of the matches the wildcard idea.

What if I move everything to GeoServer, so that GT based applications
are not involved?

Building on top of the idea provided by Jody what about a naming
schema that builds on the 404 theme and leaves codes open for
similar setups, we could have the following:

404000 -> 2d wildcard in meter (the only one I'm going to actually work on)
404001 -> 2d wildcard in feet
404300 -> 3d wildcard in meter
404301 -> 3d wildcard in feet
