I have tested the pom.xml modifications with the inclusion of the bnd 
plugin, and it produces somewhat functional OSGi bundles with spi based 
sections breaking. I will attempt to fix this in my mercurial sandbox 
using lifecycle interceptors, but there is no client code currently 
which can make use of converted osgi services, so some osgi specific 
client code needs to be written to wire the OSGi services to their users.
