Yeah, about that... Jody, I'm sorry I have not had a chance to even
start on it. Things have gotten very busy at work. Feel free to assign
this to someone else and I'll let you know when I am more available.

First of all a big welcome back!
I am really happy to see your code extends ContentDataStore? What did
you think? We are trying to write up a tutorial on how to use
ContentDataStore and it would be good if we could reuse some of the
tests made for either this module or jdbc-ng.
Note the headers probably need to be changed - they say 2004-2011
right now - and the file I assume only started in 2011.
I judge from your email address (congrats? there was no announcement)
that you are covered under the OpenGeo code contribution agreement.

Hi everyone,
Before I jump in with my offering up a new module, let me
(re)introduce myself - it's been a while.
I am the original developer of the 'new' (well back then ~2003 it was)
shapefile plugin as well as other various pieces of geotools. I am
happy to be returning to the fold after a long hiatus.
So I'm offering up this shiny new couchdb/geocouch datastore module.
Please check it out at:
https://github.com/ischneider/Geotools-CouchDB-DataStore
Some additional notes:
* while couchdb is well suited to be consumed directly from web
clients, adding a geotools
module supports richer tools for managing spatial data in couch
* javadoc minimal
* code coverage decent
* supports native bbox query, backend support for native property
filtering, not implemented in store
* to test, I recommend installing the couchbase packages
Review and all thoughts appreciated.
Thanks
