Hi list,
as you see with GEOT-3683 [1], during the next days, we would like to port
on plugin (trunkl) the new geotiff reader available on unsupported land to
replace the actual geotiff reader.
It is built on top of the latests entities already defined on ImageMosaic,
and ImageIO-Ext-GDAL such as RasterLayerRequest, RasterLayerResponse,
RasterManager, ... (in the future, we would like to extract these base
classes to a super module to make lighter/simpler reader plugins, avoiding
redundancy and so on).
As the imageMosaic plugin, it will support transparency and JAI imageRead
operations.

Right now, I'm finishing to backport some of the last improvements done on
the actual reader (As an instance, the support for external overviews and
metadata management).
Of course, I will improve javadoc and comments, as well as test coverages,
before doing the final replacement.

Any preliminar feedback on this?

Best Regards,
Daniele

Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
