The (filter) functions were the first thing that came to mind to me as
well, but it's a dead end: what I need is to slice the returned
geometry, and Query does not allow to extract expressions, just property
names.
That's why I'm proposing a query hint instead.

That said, having a library of functions that can manipulate geometries
once loaded is of course of general interest, but outside
of the current needs
