The problem is that the formatting is all over the place, it's not
respecting
what Eclipse would generate if you auto format, plus not everybody is using
Eclipse.
The only solution to generate clean patches (the ones where you can actually
see what was changed) is _not_ to use the automatic formatter, or to be more
precise, use it only in new files or in newly written sections of code
(you can select a block of code and format just that one).
