This gt-xsd-gml3  test does not AFAIK make any use of 
SchemaResolver/SchemaCache, so does not benefit from the packaging of 
xml.xsd. It rolls its own validator, which downloads resources directly. 
For an example of validation with SchemaResolver, see AppSchemaValidator 
in gt-app-schema-resolver. Perhaps this should also be pulled into 
gt-xml? Dependencies might be an issue.
