Hi,
following Jody's feedback we updated the structured coverage grid reader
proposal and expanded harvest to handle a generic Object, instead of a File,
thus opening the interface to possible future cross-reader harvests (e.g.,
passing a reader as the source for the harvest to another reader, which
supposedly would copy its contents into into own persistent storage).

http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOTOOLS/Structured+grid+coverage+readers

This is also in line with the way readers work today, which allows them to
accept Object as source, although most of them really work only if you
provide them a File or a String representing a file.

Will try to present a pull request tomorrow with the outcome, separating
the few core changes from the many changes occurring in the existing netcdf
reader (unsupported/coverage-experiment/netcdf) and image mosaic

Cheers
Andrea
