Hi,
the wfs-ng code has been merged into geotools as of geotools 12.0, which is
being released.
I believe the pull request that merged the module was the
wfs-ng-improvements one, see
here: https://github.com/geotools/geotools/pull/460
Not sure where the wfs-ng-improvements-2.0 branch is, or who is working on
it, though.
