Tweaks... did it improve so much since last time I saw it? It was not even
generating valid XML back then (unbalanced tags, non schema compliant
things and so on).
Besides, it's generating a lot of things that GeoTools does not understand,
I had a very poor experience and from what I hear on twitter/stackexchange
things
are still rather ugly.

Yes and no. If text symbolizer have a local composition rule then it will
be applied, if they composition is defined at the featuretypestyle level
then

I'm still confused about this topic, how does keeping the original headers
mix with the contribution agreement requirements
we have in GeoTools?
E.g., we don't accept code that has been donated without a contribution
agreement, but if we go and fetch code from the net
without having the original author signing the contribution agreement, then
it's ok?
