Only DB2 specific classes are affected and one of my customers has performance problems. The change does not change the default behavior and there is a boolean parameter you must set explicitly to activate the feature. Looking at the user mailing lists (goeserver/geotools) indicates that DB2 users are rare. No mails since some years. I fear my customer is the only one using DB2.
