Hi all,
Jody and I have been working on some of the background tasks to upgrade
GeoTools/GWC/GeoServer to JTS 1.15.0 (or later). We have a proposal
here (https://github.com/geotools/geotools/wiki/Upgrade-to-JTS-1.15.0)
to track progress.
At the last GT/GS meeting, it was noted that Jaitools might need to
migrate into Jai-ext. If we are indeed going to update the JTS version,
both of these projects would need to be updated and released before
GeoTools could be updated.
So, my question is: What should the plan for Jaitools and Jai-Ext be?
* Should there be one 'last' Jaitools with JTS 1.15 released?
* Or should Jaitools be rolled into Jai-ext and then have the JTS
version bumped for the newer, greater Jai-extensions project?
I'm asking 'cause I'm going to be vacation-volunteering for JTS+GeoTools
work this Friday and all next week. If we reach a consensus, I'd be
happy to run down some of this background legwork.
