My worry is the native portion, I always have problems with those, even on
Linux.
The distro may be too new or too old, and I've had problems with changes in
glibc (or some such, some basic library).
No idea what might happen on OSX or Linux, and in theory, even if not
supported officially,
the build should be working also on BSD and the like, but the SQLite jar
has no support
for them.
Long story short, if we go for running always (which I'd like) we should
also try to setup
some basic sanity checks making sure that the base xerial driver is
actually able to run
on the current platform.
