Hi all, I'm writing to ask permission for a new community module, a datastore that would talk to a STAC API, and return features accordingly.
The module would be used as a simple vector store, to display where assets (images) are located, but it's also meant to be used as a image mosaic index, so that we can display and mosaic images referenced from the STAC server (as COGs, typically). The features returned would be the usual SimpleFeatures, with the usual small departures from the model, with attributes occasionally containing arrays, maps or more complex structures (complex features support, as it stands today, it's not particularly useful, too expensive to use both at development time and at run time).
