Jody :

Thank you for the update about the procedure.
Yes, the goal is to add the support of an H2GIS datastore. The work in progress will be on the OrbisGIS fork of GeoTools (https://github.com/orbisgis/geotools). For the code contribution license, it has already been signed by the CNRS (employer) and the code will be pushed under its name.

Sorry I just noticed I was doing a poor job of following the procedure
you linked to. Let me try again....

Think it is obvious you just want to add a new unsupported module; no
design docs are really needed to add a datastore.

With that in mind let me take your email as a request for commit
access to setup a new unsupported module.

+1

Please keep in mind you are working on the live codebase and don't
break the build :) We set things up this way to encourage
participation in the project, glad you could join us.

I also need to double check you have read the code contribution
license [1] and sent a PDF to OSGeo (either individually or your
employer may do so for all their staff).

Hello to all,

Our team (https://github.com/orbisgis/) would like to add a H2GIS
module
(the spatial extension of H2) to GeoTools. We already have our own
GeoTools module that we use, but we wanted to contribute to the
community.
My colleague Erwan Bocher has already contacted you about this, and
I am
taking over.

If I have understood correctly, the following procedure should be
followed
https://docs.geotools.org/latest/developer/procedures/create.html,
so
the next step is to add a page to the wiki.

Best Regards,

Sylvain Palominos
