Hi,
I noticed on the Geotools javadocs website, there are two methods
getScaleHintMax() and getScaleHintMin() for the
org.geotools.data.ows.Layer class for the WMS module.
However, after downloading the source code, the Java file for the class
doesn't have these methods. I could sure use these methods. Does anyone
know where I can find the source Geotools .zip file that is consistent
with the apis on the website and has these two methods?

I have muddled my way through but can't get it to run even on geotools
sample data, so sample data & SLD XML file would be great as well.
