I'm working on an project that I'm about to release as open source which has
some mapping capabilities:

This past summer I added Geotools to the project and the Geotools Gui was in
major disarray. I had to use an old unsupported version of Geotools to get
it to work. I was wondering if anything has happened on this front since
then and if I should try upgrading or if there is still no front end for
Geotools.
