map widget called JMapPane, this object is *not* up to production level
quality. Current work is focused on the library and not on the mappane object.
The third-party user is currently expected to write their own production level
widget to wrap the renderer, possibly using JMapPane as an example. The
JMapPane is defined in:
modules/unsupported/mappane/src/main/java/...../JMapPane.java ^^^^^^^^^^^ with
examples in demo/introduction and demo/mappane. Members of the project hope to
provide a production level widget eventually because it is a frequently request
item. Unfortunately, those members are currently busy on other, more
fundamental, projects. Also, you might examine the uDig project which already
does all of the things you ask about. The tradeoff is that programming uDig is
based on Eclipse which is more effort to learn to m
odify than a simple Swing widget. good luck, adrian > 4. Support to Oracle
