Take a look at the demo examples. They are in the demo/ directory of the
source code. You can run one of the examples, from a binary distribution
or compilation of geotools verision > 2.3.0, with:

java -jar (XXX)gt2-demo-introduction-VERSION.jar

where (XXX) can be omitted or be the path to the JAR files and VERSION
will depend on what you have downloaded.
