We have a web app that uses GeoTools as part of an update script to read a
set of shapefiles each week. Lately, the update fails with the following
error:
Unsupported DBF file Type 47
at geotools.data.shapefile.dbf.DbaseFileHeader.readHeader(
DbaseFileHeader.java:418. The code hasn't been modified in over a year, but
it's only recently been failing. Has anyone seen any problems with
shapefiles edited or created with ArcGIS 9.2? Any other thoughts on what
could cause an error like this---is it GeoTools, is it Arc, is it some data
transfer issue from the server?
I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks,
