Hi,
i have managed to convert my osm file onto shapefile format using
FWTools with osm2gml, which also included 2 corresponding files which were,
.shx and .dbf. The shapefile only shows a visual representation of the roads
shown as lines WITHOUT the road names which is where my next problem lies.
Based on what i have at present, is there a way for me to use my files
especially my .dbf(which i presume has my road names) file to create another
layer like road_names.shp, and add this on top using geotools BUT ensure
they are placed correctly?
