Hi, i've checked the gml file iteself and yes there are road names, is there another tool you could recommend to convert gml to shp?
Cheers Hmmm I am surprised as to why the road names havent come out in the shapefile. Did you check the GML file itself ,if it has the road names? If so then there might be an issue with FWTools itself somehow.
