A better specification of the error (after changing from the OSGEO
repository to the maven.geotools.fr/repository):

And I can confirm that the imageio-ext-tiff.jar is present in the
repository (and I can download it manually). Seems like some pom
configuration problem has spread through the 2.5.-SNAPSHOT.
I am now not able to build any project using 2.5-SNAPSHOT. Luckily, I
was able to temporarily revert to 2.5.3, which builds.
