First of all Thanks a lot for answering so fast , In my case the polygons are regular, the first thing i thought of is to get the area and write an algorithm to fill it (tessellation) with hexagons , then calculate my calculation for the center of the polygons and then color it based on dat calculations...( i think that wt u meant by similar to the shape files )
