Hi again :) so after abit low-sensfull things, the first example runs - I'll try how to do this in a better way using Jody's tutorials... anyway after starting the SwingMapViewer...everything is fine but there's a message told me that JAI isn't installed...(noClassDef..) afaik jai is only built for win-32 not for 64 bit I tried to installed but don't work...I found a workarround-patchwork-description for installing it manually ...without support for aome rasterfiles...
so question is: does anybody know if it is enough to put the JAI-jars into my classpath ... or are there other dependencies, which were only solveable using a 32bit jdk? Are there any plans to replace the JAI based stuff afaik it is replaced by sun with anything inside the standard-sdk since 1.5 or so.... best regards rolf #---#---#---#---#---#---#---#---#---#---# Dipl.
