I'd used the Quickstart.java example from: http://docs.geotools.org/stable/userguide/quickstart.html compiling works, but during runtime it shows a Warning "Can't load a service for category "MathTransformProvider". Cause is "NoClassDefFoundError javax/media/jai/WarpAffine" -> > afaik jai is only built for win-32 not for 64 bit I tried to installed -> but -> > don't work...I found a workarround-patchwork-description for installing -> it -> > manually ...without support for aome rasterfiles... -> > -> -> Not sure I am following you here... description what happens during JAI Installation is similar to: http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5382469 The workarround: http://forums.dcm4che.org/jiveforums/thread.jspa;jsessionid=6004F192A4F02777 8EE8AABB30F99196?messageID=12556 I am unable to find exactly that source I found several days ago :(...anyway I also was told from an other group that the JAI is integrated as javax.ImageIo since 1.4. after looking inside...I wasn't able to find anything about reading any tiff-kind.... so now I am a bit confused... seem to be, that I have to checkout that workarround.... -> -> > so question is: -> > does anybody know if it is enough to put the JAI-jars into my classpath -> ... -> -> That gives you pure java JAI. but seem to be that there's any native code which wont work on 64-bit... http://markmail.org/message/apbhd7n5thz22qqr so does the unsopprted JPEG-Formats avoid functions inside geotools?
