Where Geometry is an abstract class! For that I'm wondering why I have the fault (shapefiles don't generate it). It seems I have a not recognized GeometryDescriptor created by the DXF Plugin.
What do you think about?

The reason for a generic Geometry attribute is that a dxf file does not contain a single geomtry type such as lines or polygons.

So when you read features from the dxf datastore you can get all of points, lines and polygons mixed together, unlike shapefiles which are only of a single geometry type. Apparently the code you are using always assumes a single geometry type.
