Hi Valerio, I'm just chiming in to the discussion in case I can help. I'm the author of the JSimpleStyleDialog class although I should warn you that I know absolutely nothing about DXF !
As you've worked out, that dialog expects to receive a feature source with a uniform, narrowly typed Geometry. It's chief use has been for tutorial examples involving shapefiles. To work with your data the dialog would need to be extended or, probably better, copied to a new dialog class and hacked into shape. I don't have time to do that at the moment but if you were interested in taking it on as a project I would be happy to provide advice, review patches and help fit it into the swing module.
