Hi,
         Now, my pom.xml file shows the following error on the I line -

     Multiple annotations found at this line:
    - Failure to transfer org.geotools:gt-main:jar:8.0-M1 from http://download.osgeo.org/webdav/geotools/ was
     cached in the local repository, resolution will not be reattempted until the update interval of osgeo has elapsed
     or updates are forced. Original error: Could not transfer artifact org.geotools:gt-main:jar:8.0-M1 from/to osgeo
     (http://download.osgeo.org/webdav/geotools/): No response received after 60000
    - Missing artifact org.geotools:gt-main:jar:8.0-M1:compile

        Please help in fixing this one.

If this is the first time you have used Maven it will spend some time
downloading all of its dependencies (jars).

There is a joke: "And now we go to lunch while Maven downloads the internet".

Subsequent runs will be much quicker. Also, once you have the
dependencies for Maven itself and your project installed in your local
repository (the .m2/repository directory) there is also an option to
run Maven in offline mode.
