Dear all,
I want to provide feedback to someone wanting to serve large data to us through
WFS. I know that Geoserver has backported paging to earlier WFS
implementations, and using Query we can do paging. I am not sure that the data
provider will be able to run Geoserver, though. As far as I know, WFS supports
paging "out of spec" only from WFS 2.0. I have ZERO experience with WFS2.0, and
am (naturally) a bit weary of it. What is the level of support in Geotools – as
a client – for such a datastore? I browsed the code and docs, it seems that the
bindings are there, but the wiki
(http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/library/data/wfs.html) states
support only for 1.0.0 and 1.1.0.
Anyone has any experience? Thanks for any pointers – just want to get those
data to a featurecolllection! :)
