I'll have to look back. Last time there was discussion about it (some years ago), the prognosis was that having geometry "draw to shortest path" would break other applications and so would not be implemented. We have used workarounds ever since. Its not trivial to even store a 180-crossing polygon in SDE. I have latest version downloaded and I am setting it up as I have time to check another bug. I will test this at the same time and provide example etc if it doesnt work.
