who would be in a good position to evaluate your requirements). This list
is primarily to help people use GeoTools after all.
That said the user guide has a rundown of the toolkit capabilities (see
GeoTools <http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/geotools.html> page and
Welcome <http://docs.geotools.org/latest/userguide/welcome/index.html>
section). In many cases you will find this is a library for Java developers
(and not a standalone GIS as indicated in your requirements).
