Geotools provides a set of Auto projections that are centred on a point.
I'm stuck on my phone with one hand at the moment so I can't look up the
reference. But Geotools auto projection should find it.

First I need to transfo rm theGeom, but I don't know how to discover the
appropriate meter based CRS.
TheGeom could be Hawaii, it could be in New York.
