Is there any way to estimate how much does their spatial initiative cost Google, Yahoo, Microsoft respectively, and how much they benefit from them? Do they list somewhere estimates of the cost as well as the impact on their respective bottom-lines of Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, MS Live Maps, etc.?
I have scanned Google's financial tables and form 10Q on the sec website, but predictably, breakdown by their various initiatives is not provided. They spent 13% of their 2007 revenues on R&D, but there is no guessing if maps count as R&D or something else. Any ideas on how to estimate such numbers? -- Puneet Kishor _______________________________________________ Geowanking mailing list [email protected] http://geowanking.org/mailman/listinfo/geowanking_geowanking.org
